I started a blog when my son was 18 months old. I wrote about 5 posts and never opened the app again! Now, here I am, seven years later trying it again!

I thought I might start this new blog by filling you in on what has changed since my last attempt at blogging. When I started my first blog, my intention was to walk you through the life
and times of a single mom with a toddler. But if you've ever been the single mother of a toddler, with a full time job, you would have laughed at the very thought that I expected that to be any sort of success!
So, here I am now! I am still a mom but I am now a wife as well. I still have a full time job but also lots of other endeavors as well. I am so excited to have you on this journey with me! We have so much to teach one another!
A little bit about me . . .
Professionally ~
I have been a school counselor for the past 18 years with all but 3 of those years in a middle school. As you can imagine, working with adolescents has given me lots of material! The past few years have been difficult as I still love what I do but haven't really felt the same value from my job that I once did. I think it's all of the bureaucracy that comes from working in a public school these days. Anyway, I wanted to try something new so I took on a few side projects. I decided to get my counseling license to work in the private sector and I started writing. I can't wait to share all the things I've learned with you!
Personally ~
I was a single mom by choice and had my son almost 9 years ago with the help of a donor. Sam came bolting into the world 10 weeks premature and full of life! He has never stopped! Six years ago, our world was turned upside down when I met my husband and we became a family of 3! I have never been one for following the traditional path! We now have 3 humans and 3 dogs in a full house and I couldn't be happier! It isn't the life I imagined when I was young, but it is better than I could have ever hoped!
I hope to write at least once a week! See you soon!
