After a Year of Adventures I'm Back and Ready to Share My Journey with You

Wow! I haven't posted a blog for almost a year!! Let me explain! In the last year, I have quite literally done ALL THE THINGS! But here I am! I'm back and better than ever! And I have so much to share with you!

I quit my J.O.B.

Technically, I'm still working there but only for another month. I'd had enough and I'd been quietly (sometimes not so quietly) planning my exit for the last few years. After working in the same school for the last 16 years and continuously slamming my head against a brick wall trying to make changes to benefit kids, I couldn't do it anymore. I gave my notice in January and since then my decision has only been reinforced. More to come on that after they've sent me my last paycheck!

I pitched my first book

So scary and 100% would recommend!! I attended the Chicago Writer's Association Conference and learned so much. I had 5 minutes with a literary agent and he asked for my book proposal! Still waiting for the next step but you know, sometimes good things are worth the wait!

I am officially and LCPC

I am now certified to practice therapy in the state of Illinois and open my own practice! No plans to do that right away because I work for an amazing therapist right now who does all the background work for me so I can spend my time seeing clients. I have had some truly amazing clients so far and have learned as much from them as they have learned from me! I love what I do!

I started a PODCAST!!

I think I am the most excited about this! I just started a podcast a couple weeks ago ~ Your Emotional Support Podcast. The theme is self-worth and the feedback so far has been incredible! Check it out if you get a chance. It's on most all of the platforms.

I started ANOTHER website

I got real passionate about helping other counselors so I started counselorhq.net, a website that provides tools and resources for counselors. It's had some really great results as well and I am continuing to build it up to what I want it to be.

I've created some online courses

I'm trying my had at course creation though the marketing piece is super tricky and I've got a ways to go on that but stay tuned!

I've lived my life

I mean, life still happens while you're trying to grind, right?? Still momming and wifing and adulting in all the best and worst ways!

I feel like I'm leaving so much out but I've got so much more up my sleeve. I'll keep posting it all here for you!! I promise not to be gone for so long next time!! Hold on to your hats!!! Things are only getting better!!!
